About Merge PDF
Combining PDFs is usually the last step before something goes out: twelve invoices for the accountant, a contract with its addendum and signature page, chapters of a thesis scanned one at a time. The job is simple, which is why it is annoying that most tools ask you to upload the documents first.
KuroPDF merges files using pdf-lib compiled to WebAssembly, running in this tab. Add as many PDFs as you want, drag them into the order you need, and download the result. Page count, file size and how often you do it are limited only by your own machine.
The merge copies each page object across rather than reprinting it, so text stays selectable, vector graphics stay sharp and image quality is untouched. Page dimensions are preserved per page, so mixing A4 and Letter produces a document where each page keeps its original size rather than being stretched to match.
Two things are worth knowing before you merge. Bookmarks and outlines from the source files are not carried into the combined document, so a long manual will need its table of contents rebuilt. Interactive form fields are copied, but if two files use the same field names the values can collide, and flattening those files first avoids it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I merge PDFs offline?
Yes, and without installing anything. Load this page once, then install it from your browser as an app or simply keep the tab open. The merging code is cached locally, so it keeps working with no connection. Most online mergers answer this question by pointing you at a desktop download, because their merge happens on a server.
Is there a limit on file size or page count?
None that we impose. Merging happens in your device's memory, so the practical ceiling is available RAM. Combining several hundred pages is routine on an ordinary laptop.
Do bookmarks and links survive the merge?
Internal links within a single source file are preserved. Document level bookmarks and outlines are not carried over, so a merged manual will need its contents rebuilt. This is a limitation of the merge approach we use, and we would rather say so than let you discover it later.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not while it is still encrypted. Remove the password first with the Protect PDF tool, which also runs locally, then merge the unlocked file.
Can I combine images and PDFs together?
Convert the images first with Image to PDF, then merge the results. Keeping the two steps separate means you get to choose page size and orientation for the images rather than having it guessed.
