Combine Invoices into One PDF
Bookkeeping produces this task on a schedule. A month of supplier invoices, a quarter of receipts for a VAT return, or a stack of expense claims all arrive as separate files and all need to go to one person as one document.
Sending twenty attachments is how things get lost. One PDF in a sensible order is what an accountant, an expense system or a tax filing actually wants, and it makes the set reviewable in one pass rather than twenty.
Order matters more here than in most merges. Chronological is the convention, so sorting by filename works when invoices are named by date, and dragging handles the rest. Getting the sequence right at this stage saves the recipient from reconstructing it.
Financial documents are also a reasonable place to think about where the files are going. Invoices carry supplier details, bank information, account numbers and pricing that is often commercially sensitive. Merging locally means the set never leaves the machine it was assembled on.
If the combined file ends up too large for an accounting portal or an email, run Compress PDF afterwards with a target size. Invoices that arrived as scans are usually the reason, since each page is an image.

Frequently asked questions
Can I control the order the invoices appear in?
Yes. Drag the files into any sequence, or sort by filename, which puts them in date order when invoices are named by date. Chronological is what most accountants expect.
Is there a limit on how many invoices I can merge?
No. Merging happens in your device memory, so a full quarter of documents is straightforward on an ordinary machine.
Can I mix scanned invoices and emailed PDFs?
Yes. Both are PDFs as far as the merge is concerned. If the result needs to be searchable, run OCR PDF afterwards so the scanned ones become searchable alongside the rest.
The merged file is too big to email. What now?
Scanned invoices are almost always the cause, since each page is an image. Run Compress PDF with a target size, which reduces the images and leaves any real text sharp.
Are my financial documents uploaded?
No. The merge runs in your browser, so supplier details, account numbers and pricing stay on your device.
