About CBZ to PDF
Going the other way is just as common. CBZ is excellent in a comic reader but awkward everywhere else: it will not attach to most systems, will not print sensibly, and cannot be opened on a machine without a reader installed. PDF goes everywhere.
This tool reads the images inside a CBZ or plain ZIP archive and builds a PDF with each image as a page. Files inside archives are frequently named inconsistently, so pages are sorted in natural order, which means page2 comes before page10 rather than after it as plain alphabetical sorting would give.
The original image data is embedded rather than re-encoded, so nothing is lost in the conversion and quality matches the source archive exactly.
Everything runs in your browser, so a large archive does not need uploading and there is no limit on how many pages it contains beyond your own memory.
How to cbz to pdf
- Load the archive
Drop in a CBZ or a ZIP of images. Both work the same way.
- Check the page order
Pages are sorted naturally so numbering behaves as you would expect. Review before exporting.
- Build the PDF
Each image becomes a page and the PDF downloads to your device.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work with CBR files?
No. CBR uses RAR compression, which is not supported here. Extract it with an archive tool and re-zip as CBZ, or point this tool at a plain ZIP of the images.
Will page order be correct?
Yes, in almost all cases. Natural sorting is used, so page2 comes before page10. Archives with genuinely inconsistent naming are worth checking in the preview.
Is quality lost in the conversion?
No. The images are embedded as they are rather than re-compressed, so the PDF matches the archive.
How large can the archive be?
There is no imposed limit. Conversion happens in your browser's memory, so very large archives are bounded by your hardware.
