About Reverse Pages

A back to front PDF is nearly always a hardware artefact. Sheet fed scanners often stack pages in reverse as they eject, and some fax and copier workflows do the same, so the file opens with the last page first.

Reversing flips the entire page order in one step. Pages are copied across in the opposite sequence, so nothing is re-rendered and quality is identical to the original.

If only part of the document is out of order, Organize Pages gives you drag and drop control instead. Reversing is the right tool when the whole file is uniformly backwards, which is the usual scanner case.

Where two files need combining rather than one file flipping, for example a stack of fronts and a stack of backs from a duplex scan, Interleave PDFs handles that and can reverse the second file as part of the same operation.

How to reverse pages

  1. Load the PDF

Drop the file in and check the thumbnails to confirm the order really is reversed.

  2. Reverse

One click flips the whole sequence.

  3. Download

Save the corrected file. The original is untouched.

Frequently asked questions

Does reversing affect quality?

No. Pages are reordered, not redrawn, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.

What if only some pages are out of order?

Use Organize Pages, which lets you drag individual pages. Reversing applies to the whole document.

Is there a page limit?

No. Reversing is a cheap operation and works on documents of any length your device can hold in memory.
