About Sign PDF
The usual way to sign a PDF is absurd. Print it, sign it, scan it, and send back a crooked grey photograph of a document that started out crisp. Most people no longer own a printer or a scanner, and paying a monthly subscription to write your name on a page is hard to justify.
Draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger, type it in a handwriting style, or photograph your real signature on white paper and upload it, in which case the background is removed automatically. Then drag it exactly where it belongs and download the signed document.
The document stays on your device throughout. Leases, NDAs, employment contracts and consent forms are the exact material that ends up in signing workflows, and they are the material least suited to being uploaded somewhere in order to add a name to the last page.
Signatures made this way are electronic signatures and are legally recognised in most jurisdictions, including under the ESIGN Act in the United States, eIDAS in the European Union and equivalent legislation elsewhere, for ordinary agreements. They are not cryptographic digital signatures and carry no audit trail, so for multi-party contracts that need verifiable identity and a record of who signed when, a dedicated signing platform is the appropriate tool.

Is an electronic signature legally binding?
For ordinary agreements such as leases, NDAs and consent forms, yes in most jurisdictions, including under ESIGN in the United States and eIDAS in the European Union. High value or regulated contracts may require a qualified digital signature, which is a different mechanism.
Can I use my real handwritten signature?
Yes. Photograph it on white paper and upload the image. The background is removed automatically so it sits cleanly on the page rather than as a white rectangle.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign up, no email address and no watermark on the output.
Is my signed contract uploaded anywhere?
No. The document, your signature image and the finished file all stay in your browser. You can confirm it in the Network tab while you sign.
How is this different from DocuSign?
DocuSign manages multi-party signing with identity verification and audit trails. This is for the simpler and far more common case where you have a PDF, you need your signature on it, and you want that done in a few seconds without an account.
