Compress Image to 100KB
Need an image under 100KB for a form, upload or email? Set 100KB as the target and KuroPDF tunes quality and dimensions to fit.
One hundred kilobytes is the single most common form limit anywhere, which is why it is the size people search for most. It is generous enough that a properly cropped photograph looks perfectly sharp on screen, and tight enough that an uncropped camera image will not fit without help.
Email signatures, forum avatars, social media profile requirements, and web form attachments commonly cap at 100KB.
100KB strikes a good balance between file size and visual clarity. Photos will look sharp on screens up to about 500px wide.
100KB is roughly a quarter of a typical smartphone photo, small enough for fast uploads while retaining recognizable detail.
Everything runs locally in your browser via WebAssembly, so even ID photos, medical documents and personal images stay completely private.

Frequently asked questions
How does KuroPDF compress to exactly 100KB?
The engine uses a binary search algorithm that tests different quality levels (and gently downscales dimensions if necessary) until the output file fits at or below 100KB. This ensures maximum quality at your target size.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
All processing happens in your browser via WebAssembly - your images are never uploaded.
What happens if my image is already under 100KB?
If your image is already smaller than 100KB, no compression is applied. You will get the original file back unchanged.
Can I compress multiple image files to 100KB at once?
Yes. Drop multiple files and each one will be independently compressed to meet the 100KB target. Download them individually or as a ZIP.
Will compressing to 100KB reduce my image dimensions?
Only if necessary. The compressor first reduces encoding quality. If that alone cannot reach 100KB, it will proportionally scale down dimensions as a last resort.
